What Moves the Price
Door size and weight
A double door weighs roughly twice what a single does, and everything that lifts it has to be sized to match. Heavier doors need heavier springs, sturdier cables, and more capable openers, so the same repair costs more on a bigger door.
Spring cycle rating
Springs are rated in cycles, one cycle being one open and one close. A standard spring runs about 10,000 cycles, which for most homes is seven to twelve years. High cycle springs cost more up front and last considerably longer. If your garage door is the main way into the house, the upgrade usually pays for itself.
One spring or the pair
When one spring breaks on a two spring door, the other is the same age and has done the same work. Replacing only the broken one often means a second service call within a year or so. Doing the pair costs more today and usually less over the life of the door, but it's your call and we'll price it either way.
Insulation level
Doors come single layer, double layer, and triple layer. Insulation adds material and weight, which is most of the price difference between an entry level door and a premium one. It's worth paying for on an attached garage or a heated shop, and less so on a detached garage you only park in.

Because garage doors aren't all the same. A spring for a light single-car door costs less than a high-cycle pair for a heavy insulated double. Until we see the door, a flat number would be a guess.
