What They Are
A retractable vinyl screen is a motorized sheet of clear vinyl that lowers from a housing above the opening to close in a patio, porch, or outdoor dining area against wind, rain, and blowing debris. Press the remote and it rolls back up, fully out of sight. It's not a permanent enclosure: the space is open when you want it open and closed when you don't.
The angle for our part of Illinois is the cold end of the calendar. With the screens down, a covered patio holds the heat from a heater or a fire table instead of losing it to the wind, so the patio season runs a lot longer than it usually does around here.

CCGD is an authorized MaestroShield dealer for retractable vinyl screens. We measure the opening, order the screen to fit it, install it, and stand behind it afterwards. When a motor, a remote, or a track needs attention, or the screen itself has a problem, the same crew that put it in comes back to fix it.

Do they really keep rain out?
Yes. The vinyl itself is waterproof, and the zipper-and-keder edge locks into the side tracks, so wind-driven rain stays on the outside instead of working in around the edges the way it does with a loose curtain.Can they handle wind?
The locked edge is what makes the difference: the screen is held in its tracks along both sides rather than hanging free, so it doesn't flap or blow out in an ordinary wind. In severe weather, retract it into the housing.Will they work with the porch I already have?
Usually, yes. The housing and tracks mount to the structure that's already there, whether that's posts, a beam, or the underside of a roof. We measure first, because the size of the opening and what's around it decide the configuration.How are they controlled?
They're motorized and run from a remote. Lower them for the evening, raise them in the morning, and they roll fully out of sight into the housing when they're up.Who fixes them if something goes wrong?
